The Henry County Commissioners have given their blessing to an application for new vehicles for the county transportation network.   This application is being filed with the Ohio Department of Transportation.   The Henry County Transportation Network is seeking 3 Dodge vans, along with a large 15-passenger bus.  The total cost of the four vehicles is estimated at $160,000.   Henry County would be required to pay about $32,000 if the grant from ODOT is approved.

Commissioners approved a draw of $4,410 from the Ohio Development Services Agency to help pay for administration of the community development block grant program in Henry County, and for housing activities.

The Henry County board went into executive session to discuss personnel; but no action was taken.

And on Wednesday, commissioners will travel to Toledo with representatives from Palmer Energy to view a Lucas County office building that has had energy saving equipment installed.   A similar project is being considered for Henry County facilities like the courthouse, Hahn Center, and Oakwood Office complex.
