The filing deadline for the May primary election in Ohio is less than 24 hours away.   All candidates and issues for the May 7th ballot must be filed with local board of elections by 4pm Wednesday.

Two candidates have filed petitions to run for Napoleon City Council.  They are Jason Maassel a Republican, and Jeffrey Marihugh a Democrat.   There are 4 seats open this year on Napoleon city council.

                        Four issues have been filed so far in Henry County, including a half-percent earned income tax for Napoleon Area Schools, and a two-mill replacement levy for the Henry County board of developmental disabilities.   Freedom Township has submitted a 1.5 mill replacement levy for funding fire protection and ems services.

And there is a levy from an overlapping district in Henry County.  The Bowling Green city schools are seeking an additional 6.75 mill levy for current expenses.               Again, the filing deadline for the May primary election is tomorrow/ today (Wed.) at 4pm.
