After receiving a proposal from the Wood County building inspection department, Liberty Center council has approved all residential zoning inspections will go through Wood County.  That action was taken during the Tuesday night meeting.   And fees will be paid to Wood County.

                                    Liberty Center received word that they had received a grant and a loan to help pay for their second oxidation ditch project for the wastewater treatment plant.  The grant is for about $155,000; with the loan covering another $124,000.   That leaves about $30,000 in local funds.

                                    The next meeting of the Liberty Center BPA will feature an update from Egan and Associates; about the possibility of drilling for water wells to create a new water plant for the village.  That meeting is Tuesday, February 12^th, and could be an option for water for the community.

                                    The 3^rd and final reading for the ordinance to establish one-way traffic in front of the Liberty Center school on Young Street was approved.  Signs need to go-up on the street, which means the ordinance will go into effect in about two weeks.

Liberty Center Council approved a pledge of $1,000 this year for the Henry County CIC, to help promote economic development.

            No commercial semi trucks will be allowed on Maple and Cherry Streets in Liberty Center.             And the next meeting for the Liberty Center Fall Festival and 150^th birthday celebration for the village will be February 26^th.   Anyone is invited to attend and help plan the events.
