The Napoleon school board accepted the resignation of some coaches, and approved overnight trips for the music department, during their Monday session.     Heidi Mekus announced her resignation as girls volleyball coach, after 5 years.   Ian Dupont is also stepping down as junior varsity volleyball coach after 3 years.   And the tennis program at the high school is losing boys and girls coach Dan Bauer, after 4 years as head coach.

                        The Napoleon Board accepted the resignation of Patricia Shotwell as EMIS coordinator, and special education secretary, effective later this month.   Shotwell has served Napoleon schools for 15 years.

                                    And Sherri White was hired as a building secretary at the Napoleon middle school.

The Napoleon High School Choir  was approved for a trip to Orlando, Florida from March 5th through 9th in 2014.   The Napoleon high school band will take a trip to New York City for five days in late March 2014.

                                    In finances; the Napoleon district will pay about $200,000 less in expenses from the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center next year; due to some changes in programs.

There was more discussion on switching to a weighted grading scale for the future at Napoleon high school, including a recommendation from a past student.   But there were more questions about when and how to start the new program; and trying to minimize any impact on students.  That issue was tabled for more discussion at a future meeting.

The Napoleon board went into executive session to discuss land acquisition and personnel; but no action was taken.
