A Putnam County jury has found a former Kalida teacher guilty on five counts of sexual offenses, after the 4-day trial wrapped-up on Thursday in Ottawa.   Jeremy Stober was found guilty of Sexual Battery, Importuning, and for 3 separate counts of Gross Sexual Imposition by a Putnam County jury of 9 women and 3 men.  Those felony crimes range from 3rd degree to 5th degree felonies; and stem from sex offenses involving female victims from ages 15 to 17.  Assistant Prosecutor Tod Schroeder reports forensic evidence from Stober’s cellphone, and that of the victims was entered as evidence in the case.   Jeremy Stober was found not-guilty on three other counts, which included Tampering with Evidence, another count of Gross Sexual Imposition, and for Attempted Sexual Battery.  Bond was revoked for Stober; and he was remanded to the custody of the Putnam County Sheriff’s office, for transport to the county jail.   A sentencing hearing in the case will likely take place in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
