With interest rates at a very low level for bonds; the Wauseon School Board of education has approved a resolution to refinance some of their debt. That action took place during a Thursday meeting of the board; and could save the Wauseon district as much as $300,000 over the years ahead. That paperwork has to be submitted by the end of this fiscal year, which is June 30th.
Wauseon school officials are concerned about state funding, which according to the latest figures, indicates Wauseon is receiving less now than they received in 2009.
The Wauseon school board accepted the resignation of Joan Provenzano as intervention teacher. And they approved an archery club for the next school year, at no expense to the district.
