The Liberty Center school board of education took care of some personnel matters for the most part, at their Monday meeting. The board hired Robert Schwartz from the Washington Local District in Lucas County, as the new Director of Pupil Personnel Services. Schwartz was awarded a two-year contract, and will begin duties at Liberty Center school on March 25th.
The Liberty Center board also approved job descriptions and will be seeking applicants for Director of Curriculum and Instruction, as well as an intervention specialist position.
The board accepted the resignation of classroom teacher Allen Huelskamp, effective at the end of the school year. He has taught 30 years in the Liberty Center schools.
And the Liberty Center school board approved a community reinvestment area agreement with MWA Enterprises, and waived the time requirement for that process. This will allow for an expansion project for the Petro Truck Stop, which is on the north side of Napoleon, but in the Liberty Center school district.
