There is a new member on the Henry County CIC board.
At their meeting this week, the board of directors appointed Jeff Brubaker to the Community Improvement Corporation. Brubaker is the Mayor of Hamler and will fill the seat vacated by Pam Abrams.
CIC executive director Rob McColley reported AP Alternatives received $300,000-dollars from the Revolving Loan Fund and an additional $300,000-dollars from Loan Funding. The company has patented a tractor that allows the installation of solar panels to be faster and better than what their competitive companies are using. The additional funding will help get this tractor developed and will create 12 to 14 new jobs. Alex Products will also be able to create more jobs as a result of this project.
The CIC also discussed the possibility of splitting the Marketing/Membership Committee into two separate committees. No action was taken on this item. McColley also shared a goal of focusing on direct marketing for
