When voters go to the polls for the May 7th special election they will find 116 school issues on the ballot across the state of Ohio. Several school districts in the area will be seeking additional tax dollars with levies or income tax requests. Napoleon Area Schools are seeking an income tax for operating expenses in the district. In Wood County, three districts are seeking money from levies, including the Elmwood, North Baltimore, and Bowling Green city schools.
About 250 other local issues will be featured on ballots in communities around Ohio. In-person voting is now underway at local board of elections; and absentee ballots are available through the mail. A new program is also available, where residents can vote in honor of a veteran. More information is available at ohiomilitaryvotes.com
