With a backdrop of the 2013 Henry County Fair; the Tomato Festival Pageant will be crowning its 54th queen on Sunday, August 11th in Napoleon. Deb Nation is the Tomato Festival Pageant director and is encouraging all ladies age 17 to 23 to compete for more than $2,000 in scholarship money. Girls should contact their township and village representatives for an application, which is due June 11th.
The theme for this year’s Henry County Fair is ‘county scenes and children’s dreams’.
To be eligible for the Tomato Festival Pageant, girls must have graduated from high school, or earned a GED. The first prize for the Tomato Festival queen is a $1,000 scholarship.
