Napoleon Police have received a number of reports concerning suspects that are entering the homes of the elderly, uninvited; and possibly looking for medication to steal. According to the reports, a woman identifies herself as being from the Health Department or a Health Care Aid, and asks to do an inventory of the home-owners medication. The woman in her 20’s has been described as thin, with olive color skin, black hair, and wearing a nurse’s scrubs. The investigation by Napoleon Police has also revealed there may be a second female also working in this scam. She may be in her 30’s to 40’s and carrying a bag.
This scam appears to target the elderly; and Napoleon Police warn that doors should be kept locked; and no one should be allowed in the house that you don’t know. If someone does enter your house uninvited, contact 911 immediately. Similar complaints should be filed with Napoleon Police, or your local law enforcement agency.
