The Fulton County Commissioners are debating a request for hiring an administrative assistant that could cover the offices of Emergency Management and EMS. The director of Fulton County EMS- Rod Cheney, and Emergency Management- Heather Kost, both feel they are losing customer service contacts, due to their requirements in being out of the office. The estimated cost for an administrative assistant to cover both offices would be close to $43,000. Their hope was to have someone on-board in July. Commissioners gave their support to the addition.
The Fulton County board opened bids for the seal-coat contract for roads in 2013, with only 2 proposals submitted. Those bids were from companies in Leipsic and Genoa, with the engineer’s estimated cost at 1.37 million dollars. Both bids were below the engineer’s estimate; and are now being reviewed.
And the Fulton County Commissioners approved the bid from North American Salt Company at $62.23 per ton, to provide road salt for the coming winter season.
