In a special session Thursday night, Napoleon city council has approved resolutions that would authorize an application with the Ohio Public Works program for grant dollars in a cooperative project with Henry County townships. Napoleon Council set aside $96,225 in an ordinance that will back the project with local funds. Those dollars will be utilized for installation of infrastructure, and to run more utilities to the Petro Truck Stop, when they are ready for their service facility expansion plan. This grant application includes a request for Issue-2 tax dollars to help with road and bridge projects for Monroe, Harrison, Damascus and Pleasant townships. The legislation for Napoleon Council passed by emergency measure.
