The Buckeye State topped the nation in job-creation for the month of May, in a report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Ohio added 32,100 jobs, mostly in the professional and business services category; along with gains in leisure and hospitality, government, education, and health services.
Ohio topped Texas for the #1 slot in job creation, with the Lone Star state adding 19,500 jobs.
Other states in the region included Michigan adding 19,500 jobs in May. Indiana hired 7.500 more workers, and Kentucky added 3,800. That jump for Ohio in job creation is the most reported here in more than a decade.
