A big increase in health insurance costs is looming ahead for the village of Liberty Center. Council reviewed the numbers, and learned their premiums will jump 17% next month.
Liberty Center council was hoping to get ODOT to lower the speed limit on Route 109 in the northern part of the village; but were told it was doubtful. A speed study could be conducted as part of the request. Council did decide to place speed bumps on East Wabash to slow-down traffic in that area of town.
Officials from Liberty Center met with the city of Napoleon regarding the new water treatment plant that would serve a number of communities in Napoleon. Final numbers are still being determined for the percentage each would contribute toward the project.
And Liberty Center is gearing-up for their Tigertown 5000 race that draws hundreds of participants to the community, scheduled for Saturday, July 27th.
