Protecting the public is what law officers are all about. And in Henry County, an extra level of protection will be offered to families that have loved-ones who have medical conditions that could put them in harms way, by wandering away from home. The Henry County Sheriff’s office has been awarded a grant of $4,000, to help implement the ‘project lifesaver’ program. Loved ones wear a wrist band that gives off a signal that can be tracked by a receiver. Training of deputies in the program is taking place this week at the Henry County Emergency Operations Center. Any families interested in more information about the ‘project life-saver’ program should contact the Henry County Sheriff’s office.
