Napoleon city council was not able to act on a resolution regarding placement of the police dispatch issue onto the May 2014 ballot. With 2 council members disqualified from voting on the matter, due to their county ties; and with a couple of other members absent; there were not enough votes to act either way on the issue. So the question of whether to place the switch of dispatch to the Henry County Sheriff’s office will have to wait for another meeting of Napoleon Council.
A couple of other issues were sent to committees of council. A proposal for a water rate study in Napoleon was sent to the city’s water and sewer committee for more dialogue. And a proposed speed limit study for
Napoleon Council went into executive session to discuss economic development issues with Henry County CIC director Rob McColley. They also went behind closed doors to discuss collective bargaining.
